My brother and I stayed in Jacqui and David's appartment for 5 days and felt very comfortable there. The hosts are very nice and welcoming, the appartment is roomy, clean and generously furnished. I is also located close to a subway station that delivers you right into the city. We could not have chosen a better appartment for our stay and would recommend anyone to stay there as well.
Jacqui and David were very generous hosts, it was a pleasure meeting them. I hope that we will stay in touch and perhaps catch to up on one of our travel adventures.
the apartment was extremely comfortable and very spacious. It met with all of our requirements.
We stayed 7 Nights in Jacqui and David's beutiful apartement in Brooklyn and it was like a home for us! The apartment is so lovely, quiet and comfortable. The Metro is just a round the corner and you have a great connection to Manhatten. Jaqui and David are living in the same building (upstairs) and you can ask them everything. They are really nice and helpfull and it was a pleasure to meet them.
If you prefer to stay in Brooklyn, than in noisy Manhattan, its the best choice you can make.
Next time in NYC it is going to be the same Apartment.
Schöne Wohnung, perfekte Lage, gute Verkehrsanbindung - Subway ca. 10 Min. entfernt.
Very Nice apartment very well Appointed.
Very comfortable for Anne and I and our adult daughter
Easy access to downtown, enjoyed our stay
Thanks Jacqui and David
We enjoyed our vacation in New York in your awesome apartment very much!
It was a really nice feeling to relax after a full day of sightseeing. We immediately felt great! Everything was clean and fresh and the kitchen was cool! Its very easy to reach manhatten by subway, the next subwaystation is just around the corner. Thank you for the warm welcome and the informations about the local area and events.
We spent 5 days-4 nights in this apartment. We enjoyed it from the start. The kitchen is spacious with a very nice square table to drink coffee on, spread maps and plan the day. The bedroom is OK for two, more people will easily fit in the large living room. The apartment also has a nice backyard with plenty of space. The apartment is well equipped with a toaster, coffee machine, dish washer, laundry automat and dryer. The bathroom and shower are basic and clean.
The neighborhood is friendly and safe. There are lots of grocery stores, deli's, restaurants, bakeries, etc within walking distance, e.g. on Fulton St and Nostrand Ave. The Subway is a few minutes walking from the apartment, with direct access to JFK and Manhattan. We happily walked and biked around after sunset, without any feeling of unsafety.
We did not have the opportunity to meet the owners, because they were away at the time, but communication via email was immediate, to the point and very friendly.
We rented bikes from RollingOrangeBikes.com on Baltic St in Brooklyn and we used them to traverse Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. We got a bike map of NY and found that there are lots of bike lanes in the city. We found biking a lot of fun, as well as a pretty efficient way of getting around. New York car drivers are friendly to bikes, compared to most European countries. We did not feel unsafe at any time.
This apartment was fantastic. The kitchen was well equipped with a table seating 8 which served as our living room. We turned the lounge into a comfortable sleeping space for the children and even got to enjoy the back garden despite being here in early November. The hosts son was on hand to deal with any issues.
The Nostrand Avenue subway takes you straight to Manhattan on the A line and is nearby. At first sight the area near the subway looks rough but if you look more closely there are gems such as Breukelen wines Ma's chip shop and other quirky small businesses. We loved the experience and our 4 children enjoyed every minute of our stay.
