Great Location, Vintage and Cozy

Located on the second floor of a century old home (completely remodeled in 2005) the accommodations include the following:
A nice sized bedroom with a sitting area, a dresser, a closet and gas stove/ fireplace. The sleigh bed is queen sized and has a pillow top mattress.
In a separate larger room, there is a lounge area with a very long down filled sectional couch that can be made into a bed. The room also has a new mini fridge, microwave oven, coffee machine, grinder, french press and electric kettle. There is a table with two chairs and a buffet with dishes and utensils.
Both rooms have vintage Douglas fir flooring.
The bathroom is large, has two sinks and a large walk in shower. (And a toilet of course!)
The bedroom and lounge area are connected by a small hallway. Each room has a door. The bathroom is accessed through the lounge. The space is entirely private as is the entrance.
There is cable tv, a dvd player and free wireless internet.
Can't be beat for access to downtown Portland, the Oregon Convention Center,and the eastside Belmont and Hawthorne neighborhoods. Portland's 28th street restaurant row is right around the corner, and three blocks away there is a Whole Foods and a very cool second run movie theater. Within a short walk there are at least a dozen top rated restaurants to suit every taste and pocketbook and beautiful Laurelhurst Park is about 1/2 mile away.
The number 19, 20, and 12 bus lines are all close by and will take you downtown and to the airport. If you are driving there is always on street parking nearby. There is an Enterprise car rental lot on Sandy approximately three blocks away and six zipcars within a mile.

I stayed in this place for almost three weeks. It is a spacious, nicely furnished and absolutely clean apartment in a quiet side street close to a park in NE Portland OR. Very close by there is a bus stop which takes you into downtown, and there are restaurants, coffee shops, a micro brewery and even a neighborhood cinema (Laurelhurst Theater) within easy walking distance.
Dan, the owner, is extremely considerate, helpful in all matters and very knowledgeable about the area, its possibilities and its history, which makes him at all times an absolutely interesting and interested, and very witty conversational partner on almost anything from whom I was able to get a lot of fascinating information.
It' s also a great place if you like dogs.
